Our History

Mercy Seat Church was established on October 12, 2014 by Pastors Ray & Felissia Jackson. Mercy Seat Church was established because the Pastors realized that many in the body of Christ were still bound, even though they were yet saved and many of them had no idea that their old life was affecting their present lives. Currently Mercy Seat Church meets at the LaQuinta Inn on Walden Road, in the conference room. Sunday morning services are held 10:30-12:00 and Wednesday night services are from 6-8 p.m.

The vision of Mercy Seat Church is to bring hurting people to the throne room of God that they may obtain mercy and help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16.

Galatians 3:13 tells us that God has redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us, for it is written cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree. This means that God did not do away with the curse, but had a remedy for the curse, which is the shed blood of Jesus Christ. In some Christians minds, this is a bit confusing because the modern day teachings is telling them that once you are saved it took care of everything, past and present.

Mercy Seat Church believes that after salvation, deliverance must follow. Even though deliverance is a process, Mercy Seat Church believes that the believer should go through deliverance periodically. Mercy Seat Church believes in the sound, balanced teachings of the word of God; with the help of the Holy Spirit that will lead those to being set free and delivered so that they can lead victorious lives and make an impact on the kingdom of darkness.
